Episode 06: We're cool cats.

Download podcast here.

Another week, another episode! This one may be our best yet. Hear who's quitting DC comics! Find out what we read this week - an absurd amount, and (almost) everything is not shared! Lots of DC, lots of Marvel, some Dark Horse and Image, and even a graphic novel from Top Shelf! All sorts of options for great reading this week. Also: our hero moment and villain moment of the week are both rather memorable.

Comics news: 00:00 - 00:13
Comics reviews: 00:13 - 00:55
Weekly features: 00:55 - 01:10

Enjoy! The banter is bubbly, the reviews are timely, we're pretty cool, and that ending music? Name that movie and you win the prize! (The prize being Braeden's undying affection.) Join the conversation on our Facebook or Twitter pages, and or contact us at betweenthebubblespodcast@gmail.com with any insights, comments, or questions you might have!

Episode 05: A very spoilery TDKR review

Download podcast here.

As promised, here comes the second half of our coverage of the release of The Dark Knight Rises! We interview the Justice League while waiting in line (among others). We give our thoughts on the film and why we think it succeeded (or not). Lots and lots of spoilers. So: SPOILER ALERT. Darin thinks it's his new favorite movie. Braeden has been vacillating all week as to whether he thinks it's better than the Avengers, and ultimately, he's saying no - but that doesn't mean he didn't love the film. Take a listen, and let us know what you think in the comments, on Facebook, Twitter, or by e-mail!

Breakdown
Pre-show interviews: 00:00 - 00:17
Post-show review: 00:17 - 00:43

Again (we can't stress this enough) this review is spoilerific. So don't listen until you've enjoyed the film. Or hated it. But let us know what you think! Join the conversation on our Facebook or Twitter pages, and or contact us at betweenthebubblespodcast@gmail.com with any insights, comments, or questions you might have.

Episode 04: don't mess with the ladies.

Download podcast here.

This week, we're talking a lot about Marvel's movie news. Because there was a lot. (Get on it, DC!) Also: we review various comics about sundry superheroines, and why they are so awesome and (Braeden would argue) maybe even better than their male counterparts. We're talking Batwoman, Wonder Woman, Glory, Captain Marvel . . . it's an all-out lady smorgasbord! They were all beautiful comics you're missing out on by not reading.

Breakdown
Comics news: 00:00 - 00:31
Comics reviews: 00:31 - 01:12
Weekly features: 01:12 - 01:25

Hope you enjoyed our bonus, spoiler-free Dark Knight Rises pre-episode! Later this week, you can enjoy our spoilerific post-episode, where we interview people in the crowd about their expectations for the film as well as get our detailed, don't-listen-if-you-haven't-seen-the-film-yet review!

Episode 03: Comics that inspired the Dark Knight Rises

Download podcast here.

Here it is, our promised Very Special Episode that talks all about the comics that influenced Christopher Nolan and The Dark Knight Rises. (Keep in mind, much of this is speculation based solely on the trailers and clips we've seen so far; regrettably, we're not a big enough deal yet to get advanced screening tickets.) We'll give you a bit of backstory on who Bane is, why he wants to break Batman, and just prognosticate on what we expect to happen in the film.

Basically, this episode is just the two of us geeking out about Batman comics - and what better thing would there be for us to geek out about? Hope you all enjoy!

Episode 02: All your podcasts are belong to us!

Download podcast here.

Here we are with another episode! Lots of news this week, from comics to video games, to all sorts of other fun things. LOTS of comics reviews this week, as it's the second week of the month, and that one's usually a doozy - we've got the finale to Batman's epic yearlong storyline "The Court of Owls", the OGN Batman: Earth One (Darin loved it more than he can even express), the print release of the teased-last-week Swamp Thing issue, plus the new Captain Marvel's debut in Avenging Spider-Man! Carol Danvers is Braeden's hero. No, really. Just let him make his case. And he'll probably be gushing about her again next week, when her ongoing debuts.

Breakdown
Comics news: 00:00 - 00:26
Pull list reviews: 00:26 - 01:06
Weekly features: 01:06 - 01:21

Stay tuned during this coming week for a Very Special Episode talking about the comics that influenced Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, so you can find out answers to pressing questions such as: Who is Bane? Why does he hate Batman so? And why should I care? See you then!

*Yes, there is a part Braeden says he will edit out later in the reviews section. He decided it was too funny to take out.

Episode 01: Inaugural edition!

Download podcast here.

Yes friends, our first episode of the podcast is up and running! It's not perfect, the levels could be a bit tighter, but hey - it's our first episode, so I think a bit of a learning curve is to be expected.

This week, we've got tons of big news from both Marvel and DC, reviews of the comics we read this week, as well as a review of the new Amazing Spider-Man movie! Verdict? Braeden loved it, Darin's not so sure. Also, check out our heroes and villains of the week! Hope you enjoy listening as much as we did making it!
